Counsellor
I am a qualified Person-Centered Counsellor and Systemic Practitioner (Family Counsellor) offering Person-Centered, Systemic and Solution Focussed counselling to adults, young people (aged 12+) and families.
As a Systemic Practitioner I can provide family counselling to any variety of family grouping including relationship difficulties between adult family members, for example siblings.
As well as my private practice I am a Systemic Practitioner at Bright Light Counselling Agency on Dundas Street, a Counsellor at Edinburgh University providing Short Term Counselling to students and provide contract counselling to all ages. I also teach Counselling Skills at Edinburgh College.
Prior to moving to Edinburgh 3 years ago, from Aberdeen, where I lived for 25 years, I worked as a School Counsellor and counselled families and individuals at Avenue Counselling Agency.

I have a degree in Psychology which I integrate into my work and have additional training in the following areas:

People come to counselling for a variety of reasons and my 14+ years of counselling experience and training enables me to offer you effective and individualised counselling within a safe, supportive and confidential environment. I will listen to your concerns and work with you to develop a counselling support plan to meet your unique needs.

Our counselling practice is based at Edinburgh Counselling and Psychotherapy at 22 Young Street, Edinburgh.
